A new post for a new year

Ok- sorry I've left this blog with that pathetic video that you just can't see! I'm still learning my way around xanga. I wish I could take that off, but obviously I can't figure it out!

I've actually made a few New Years resolutions. Last year for a couple reasons, I just didn't make any. This year, I felt compelled to do so. One of them is to once again read my Bible cover to cover in 08. I'm so excited about this! As I started reading Genesis, treasured words jumped off the page as if it was the first time I've ever read them. My favorite so far was rereading the story of Noah. (Probably since I've recently seen "Evan Almighty").

One thing that brought encouragement to me was this... As Noah sat on that boat for not 40 days, but more like almost 400 days (read it- it's right there around chapter 7!), he was right in the center of Gods will. As Noah and his family sat in that boat, with hundreds of animals, a major storm swirling around them, Noah was right where God wanted him. Talk about patience. I love what it says in Gen. 8:1... "But God remembered Noah, and all the wild animals and livestock that were with him in the ark". Noah was not forgotten by God and neither are we!

Have a wonderful New Year and know that you are not forgotten!
